Meet the Artist. Mavi.
MaviCanvas is the independent art studio of Mavi Paez, a Los Angeles based mixed media artist whose relationship with art began as soon as she could hold a pencil.
Raised in Venezuela, Mavi grew up immersed in creative workshops, youth exhibitions, and after school art programs where experimentation with color and form became second nature. After moving to the United States, she continued her artistic development through advanced high school art courses and regional Texas art competitions, further refining her technical and conceptual foundations.
Though her professional path later expanded into engineering and innovation leadership, art remained a constant thread. Since 2019, Mavi has created commissioned works for private clients, developing a signature style defined by large scale compositions, layered textures, and emotionally resonant color palettes.
In 2024, following a pivotal sabbatical, Mavi formally established MaviCanvas as a dedicated fine art practice. Based in Los Angeles, she now spends her time curating new collection releases, working closely with galleries, and producing bespoke commissions for private collectors and select Fortune 500 organizations.
Through bold, immersive mixed media, her work explores memory, movement, and human connection, transforming personal and collective experiences into heirloom scale works designed to live across generations.
